AGC of Ohio Committees & Groups
Volunteer leaders engaged on committees and interest groups to help shape the construction industry in Ohio. Committee meetings are a great way to get to know industry peers. Participation allows contractors to share ideas, develop policies and programs, and establish valuable contacts with industry leaders and state and federal agencies. Interest groups are a way for members to stay informed give feedback to staff members on specific subject areas in the industry.

Committees
Education Foundation: Meets at least annually to administer and guide the AGC of Ohio Education Foundation scholarship program. Committee members have the opportunity to be on the Scholarship Selection Panel.
Finance & Audit: Meets quarterly in advance of scheduled Board meetings and as needed.
Engagement & Growth: Meets quarterly to foster connections, promote involvement, and support the association's membership growth.
Governance: Meets at least annually to review bylaws and, as needed, to address general governance and association policy issues.
Labor Relations: Meets as needed to address collective bargaining issues and preparation, and to discuss other ad hoc issues.
Legislative: Meets as needed to monitor state legislative and administrative activity, and advises the Board of Directors on these activities. Working with other construction associations, the committee also helps formulate association positions on issues and propose legislation.
Public Contracts: Meets on an as-needed basis, more frequently when the State is modifying its standard form contracts to address issues related to construction methods, and advises the board of directors on these matters. It collaborates with state officials on construction documents and contracting issues, as well as with other construction associations on matters of mutual concern. It also provides input on legislative issues related to construction delivery systems.
Safety: Meets quarterly to address safety issues that impact the construction industry and advises the Board of Directors on these matters. Meetings include a roundtable discussion on various safety topics and issues, as well as an educational program specifically designed for safety professionals.
Women’s Leadership Forum: Empowers, supports, and fosters the growth of women in the commercial construction industry through networking and professional development opportunities.
Workforce Development: Meets at least annually to develop and implement initiatives that promote the construction industry and construction as a career.
