About the Education Foundation

The AGC of Ohio Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1999 to promote the commercial construction industry and encourage students to pursue careers in construction.

The Foundation has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships since 2000. AGC divisions and members sponsor scholarships in their name through the Education Foundation with a one-time donation of $20,000.

The Education Foundation awards 29 scholarships to students pursing construction-related degrees at a college or university. A panel of construction professionals selects scholarship recipients based on their cumulative grade point average, work experience, extra-curricular activities and achievements, financial need, and an essay. Scholarships are awarded in the spring and applications for the following year are posted in the fall.

*The Mosser Construction, Inc. Scholarship is awarded to a student at the University of Toledo. This scholarship is administered by the respective school, but the application process goes through the AGC of Ohio Education Foundation.

​Company Specific Scholarships

• Baker Concrete Construction Scholarship: 
  Available to Baker Concrete co-op's, employees and their immediate relatives pursing a construction-related degree.
• Lincoln Construction, Inc. Willard Williams Memorial Scholarship: A child or direct relative of an hourly or salaried employee of Lincoln Construction with at least 2 years of service. 
• The Ruhlin Co. Scholarship: Available to Ruhlin Co. employees or relatives. 

Funding a Scholarship
To establish your own scholarship with the AGC of Ohio Education Foundation, you will need to provide the following:

• One-time $20,000 donation
• Scholarship name
• Brief description of the scholarship and a company logo
• Your scholarship parameters
• Company contact person regarding the scholarship
