AGC of Ohio is committed to promoting safety and health in the construction industry through its Safety Committee, which works closely with the Board of Directors. The Committee focuses on educating contractors on critical safety and health topics, advocating for safety-related regulations and legislation, and fostering collaboration among safety professionals.
Quarterly safety meetings held in Columbus offer an open forum for sharing ideas, addressing urgent safety concerns, and delivering educational programs tailored for safety professionals. Regular agenda topics include OSHA’s regulatory and enforcement activities, as well as a roundtable discussion on matters of interest. AGC also produces and provides resources that offer valuable tools to support members’ safety and health programs and craftworker training.

AGC of Ohio Safety Education & Training Stipend Program
AGC of Ohio is committed to strengthening workplace safety and enhancing the knowledge, professionalism, and leadership of those responsible for safety within contractor and associate member firms. To support this mission, AGC of Ohio is offering Safety Stipends to help offset the cost of AGC of America safety-related training, including safety conferences, safety management programs, and other education directly tied to the responsibilities of safety personnel.

AGC of America Safety Management Training Course (SMTC) in Columbus
The Safety Management Training Course (SMTC) is an intensive three-day program that equips construction leaders with the tools to manage safety programs, train field personnel, navigate subcontractor and multi–employer relations, etc. Attendees will return to their firms with new knowledge and skills to positively impact their company’s safety and health program.
